One of the most visited place in Tarlac now is the Mt. Pinatubo Crater. It is situated along the boarder of Tarlac, Pampanga and Zambales.

Thousands of Tourist from different countries visits Mt. Pinatubo. A friend of mine, who run a trekking business in Mt. Pinatubo informed me that the place is really fantastic and a must to see by the Philippine visitors.

I have not be been there so far, but the way she tell the story, it is really a great place to go.

One of these days, I will visit it and post pictures in this blog.

Tarlac City Festival

December 29, 2008

The Tarlac City Festival is coming near. Here comes January and it’s there! The F. Tanedo St. starts building up makeshift market for a cheaper merchandise to Tarlaquenos and as well as to visitors. In this point of time, many Tarlaquenos prefer to buy in that busy street starting December until February. It is like the Divisoria of the North, or can I say the Baclaran of the North. Whatever it is, this is the way Tarlaquenos celebrate their fesitivities.

The Tarlac City Government is preparing annually for this special event. There’s a lot of activities starting January. Few years back, there were Battle of the Bands, Live Concert and other shows in Tarlac Plazuela which is located infront of the Tarlac Cathedral. For 2009, we are yet to see what the City Government will give to locals and visitors, but I am pretty sure, it will be an awesome event.

In the past Tarlaqueno-Americans, Tarlaqueno-Canadians and Tarlaqueno-Australians prefer to go back home during this special event which coincide with Christmas and New Year. I have had a talk with some of these guys and their foreign spouses and they are all telling the same thing “IT’S AN AWESOME EVENT AND AN AWESOME PLACE”.

Well, I guess they are right!!! For the past 30 years I happened to witnessed it.

Let’s celebrate together!!! Come and visit our place and see it for yourself!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
